Her Majesty The Queen, in 2022 will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service. The Queen has ruled for longer than any other Monarch in British history, becoming a much admired, loved, and respected figure around the world. I am sure when she was a young girl, she did not expect to be such an iconic and celebrated figure during an incredibly long reign. Many towns, villages, and communities in the United Kingdom will come together to celebrate the historic milestone over the Jubilee weekend in June. I (vaguely) remember the parties in 1977 for her Silver Jubilee. I believe she stands with the people, has worked all of her life, and reflects a strong sense of history and tradition. I also like a bit of British pomp, pageantry, and a cucumber sandwich!
